Here is a sneek peek of one of my designs from a new collection called 'Hazy Days'. Its just based on a few flower sketches from my garden which I've tried to add quite contrasting colours to. As you know drawing flowers is one of my favorite pastimes and I love to incorporate them into my designs. It takes my mind away from the stress and scary situation that Greece is in at the moment. People here just don't know what is going to happen in the future. Unemployment rate is sky high, there are so many homeless and one in ten people are living on charity handouts. Alot of people are predicting chaos and violent times ahead if we exit the Euro. Lets just hope everything is under control by then!

Rule Britannia!
So I'm finally back from good old England. I had a lovely three week break over Easter and managed to catch up with all my nieces and nephews. I had a really lovely time and it was made all the better with the great weather which lets be honest is a rare treat in England! I managed to catch a few store snaps of some inspirational new patterns. They're taken from Next, WH Smiths and Asda stores. I love the British inspired designs. I was amazed by all the Union Jacks on everything in EVERY store! Wish I was in the UK for the Jubilee, maybe I'll make it for the Olympic games instead. It looks like 2012 is going to be a big year for England!

Surtex, iphones and kite flying!
I've been super busy preparing for Surtex where this year I will be represented for the first time by Pink Light Design. I've really enjoyed designing for this show. I've done a selection of florals, christmas and some novelty sets, let hope I sale a few!
I came across an old design of mine at the Textile Republic site. Its a floral thats available to buy as an iphone case. I think it looks quite nice, shame I don't have an iphone!
I am also busy working on some photobooks and calendars for Asda which is fun. As well as that I'm off to the UK for three weeks next week I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be looking out for the recent Craftseller and Quick cards magazines as this month I designed cover gifts for both.
Thank god the weather has changed from being totally wet and dark to a balmy 22 degrees just the sort of weather I love. It's not so good for sitting inside designing but is lovely for picnics and kite flying in the park.

Happy Day of Love!!
Happy Valentines Day everyone! This is one of my favorite Rob Ryan prints and is something I would love for Valentine's day (I wish!).
We are celebrating the day of love by me cooking (typical) a lovely dinner for my lovely husband and then we will celebrate by watching our new satellite tv, I know it all sounds very exciting..(this is what happens when you have kids!) I am actually quite excited about getting satellite as here in Greece as the tv programs are about 10 years behind and they're all in Greek. Plus with all the talk about the economy on Greek tv it would be nice to watch something else in the evenings.
So a happy day of love to you all!!!
